The official launch of MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur 2026, held on 4 April 2026, was successfully carried out, bringing together local and international tourism industry players on a key platform to promote Malaysia’s tourism sector.

The ceremony was officiated by YB Tuan Raven Kumar Krishnasamy, Chairman of the Johor State Committee for Unity, Heritage and Culture, representing YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar Johor. Also present was Mr. Nigel Wong, President of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, alongside distinguished guests comprising state government representatives, tourism agencies, and key industry players.

The programme continued with a welcoming speech by the MATTA President followed by the officiating speech, and a launch gimmick symbolising the official opening of MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur 2026.

The ceremony also witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Majestic Johor Tourism Sdn. Bhd., represented by Mohammad Nazrul Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor and CEO of Majestic Johor Tourism Sdn. Bhd., and TikTok Malaysia, represented by Firdaus Fadzil, Head of Public Policy TikTok Malaysia. This collaboration aims to strengthen the promotion of Johor tourism through digital platforms.

The event concluded with a visit to the Johor Pavilion and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official launch of the Visit Johor Year 2026 website and mobile application at the Johor booth.
