The official launch of the Karnival Textile x Segar Amat Festival was successfully held in a lively and vibrant atmosphere, bringing together local textile industry players, entrepreneurs, and the community to celebrate the diversity of creative products and fresh local produce. The event highlighted the unique charm of homegrown craftsmanship while fostering a strong sense of community engagement.

The ceremony was officiated by YB Dato’ Zahari bin Sarip, Chairman of the Johor State Committee for Agriculture, Agro-Based Industry and Rural Development. Also in attendance were Tuan Haji Mohd Helmi bin Dato’ Haji Sha’ri, President of Majlis Perbandaran Segamat; Mohammad Nazrul bin Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor; and Muhammad Hafizuddin bin Abd Jalal, Assistant District Officer (Community Development) of the Segamat District Office, representing the Segamat District Officer.

The organisation of this carnival aligns with the Visit Johor Year 2026 initiative, aimed at strengthening the state’s tourism sector by showcasing the uniqueness of local products, culture, gastronomy, and community-driven experiences as key attractions for both domestic and international visitors.
