Tourist Arrival Welcome Ceremony Celebrating the Launch of Visit Johor Year 2026
Senai International Airport
Johor ushered in the year 2026 in grand fashion with a Tourist Arrival Welcome Ceremony held simultaneously at 13 of the state’s main entry points, covering air, land, and sea routes.
The welcome ceremony at Senai International Airport was officiated by the Honourable Dato’ Haji Mohd Jafni bin Md Shukor, Chairman of the Johor State Housing and Local Government Committee. Also in attendance were YBrs. Encik Fizwan bin Dato’ Hj Mohd Rashidi, District Officer of Kulai; YBrs. Encik Mohd Hafiz bin Aliman, President of MPKU; YBrs. Encik Mohammad Nazrul bin Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor; YBrs. Encik Mohd Roslan bin Abdullah, Senior Director of Events & Domestic Tourism Malaysia; Puan Norazlin binti Abu Taib, Director of MOTAC Johor; as well as other invited guests.
This special celebration not only marks the official launch of Visit Johor Year 2026, but also reflects Johor’s commitment to welcoming both domestic and international tourists with an inclusive, creative, and visitor-friendly tourism experience.
The arrival of visitors was enlivened with Johor cultural performances such as the zapin dance and kompang drumming, along with the distribution of exclusive Visit Johor Year 2026 souvenirs, making the start of their holiday a truly memorable moment.
Johor is now ready to welcome visitors and tourists to explore its natural beauty, rich culture, heritage, and diverse gastronomy throughout the year 2026.

Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal
The tourist arrival welcome ceremony held at the Puteri Harbour Ferry Terminal was officiated by YBhg. Tuan Haji Hasrin Kamal bin Hashim, Mayor of MBIP. The tourist arrival welcome ceremony held at the Sultan Iskandar Customs Complex (CIQ Bukit Chagar) was officiated by the Honourable Dato’ Haji Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of MBJB. Also in attendance were Encik Razaidi bin Abd. The tourist arrival welcome ceremony held at the Pagoh Rest & Service Area (R&R), North–South Expressway, was graced by the presence of Yang Berbahagia Tuan Haji Zainal bin Eran, District Officer of Muar.
