{"id":9517,"date":"2026-01-20T15:07:39","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T07:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitjohor2026.my\/?post_type=ajde_events&#038;p=9517"},"modified":"2026-01-20T15:59:40","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T07:59:40","slug":"the-launch-of-visit-johor-year-2026","status":"publish","type":"ajde_events","link":"https:\/\/visitjohor2026.my\/ms\/events\/the-launch-of-visit-johor-year-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The Launch of Visit Johor Year 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Launch of Visit Johor Year 2026<\/strong> was held in grand style on <strong>12 December 2025<\/strong> di <strong>Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru<\/strong>, officially marking the commencement of the Visit Johor 2026 campaign, which symbolises the Johor State Government\u2019s continued commitment to strengthening the state\u2019s tourism brand at both regional and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This prestigious event was graced by <strong>YAB Dato\u2019 Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor<\/strong>, and featured a wide range of exciting programmes showcasing the uniqueness of Johor, including cultural heritage, performing arts, local gastronomy, and interactive exhibitions by various districts highlighting the state\u2019s tourism attractions, customs, and cultural diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most captivating highlights and the climax of the event was the Visit Johor 2026 drone show, which mesmerised thousands of visitors by illuminating the Johor Bahru skyline with creative and high-impact visuals, symbolising Johor\u2019s aspirations to become a world-class tourism destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zapin Mehlah Johor performance, featuring 4,041 dancers, successfully entered the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR), elevating Johor\u2019s traditional heritage arts to a proud new level and demonstrating the strength of the state\u2019s cultural identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch was further enlivened by performances from popular local artistes, cultural showcases by Yayasan Warisan Johor and Istana Budaya, as well as various side activities, making the event an important platform to stimulate the tourism sector and generate positive socio-economic impact for the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this official launch, Johor is now ready to welcome visitors from all corners of the world.
