18 April 2026 – The flag-off ceremony for participants of the Ekspedisi Tamadun, organised by the Kota Tinggi District Tourism Association in conjunction with Sengat Fest 2026, took place yesterday in a cheerful atmosphere at Teluk Sengat.

More than 15 participant groups took part in the expedition programme, which aimed to introduce the unique heritage and local tourism attractions found in the area. The initiative provided participants with the opportunity to explore and appreciate the cultural significance of Teluk Sengat.

The event was further enlivened by the presence of Jeffri Bin Munir, Chief Operating Officer of Majestic Johor Tourism Sdn. Bhd., who officiated the symbolic flag-off ceremony for participants at the main stage of Sengat Fest 2026.

Programmes like this continue to play an important role in boosting domestic tourism activities while strengthening the promotion of unique destinations in Kota Tinggi, especially Teluk Sengat.
