Tenby Schools began in 1960 as a kindergarten for British expatriates in Malaysia. It was founded by Dorothy Nelson-Doig, who named the school after her hometown Tenby in Wales
Over the next 40 years, Tenby Schools introduced the Malaysian Primary School Curriculum alongside the English curriculum, pioneering a dual-stream system.
