Bukit Layang-Layang is also known as Pasir Gudang City Park, this park is the focus of Pasir Gudang residents to carry out various sports and leisure activities. It is located only 30 minutes drive from Johor Bahru.
Bukit Layang-Layang is also the official site for the Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival. This event attracts many visitors and kite enthusiasts from all over the world. The festival also involves many participants from Southeast Asia and various other countries including China, India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Japan, France, Germany, and the United States.
The Kite Museum is a museum of its kind that displays a collection of various types of traditional and modern kites from within and outside the country. The museum, which opened in 2002, not only stores a lot of history about kites but also provides kite-making demonstrations. Visitors can experience making their own kites and have the opportunity to fly kites at Bukit Layang-Layang, Pasir Gudang. Entrance tickets to the Museum are available at the Kite Museum Counter.
