The vibrant return of the 28th International Kite Festival
The 28th International Kite Festival, held at Bukit Layang-Layang, unfolded in a colourful and lively atmosphere as thousands of visitors flocked to the venue from early morning. The strong turnout from people of all ages reflected the excitement for this iconic festival, which continues to be highly anticipated every year.
A wide range of engaging activities were featured throughout the festival, including international kite displays, interactive family-friendly activities, exhibition booths, and retail stalls—creating a cheerful and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Also present was Mohammad Nazrul bin Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor, who spent time enjoying the festival with his family. He also visited the Johor Pavilion to explore tourism offerings and promotional showcases of Johor’s products.
One of the highlights of the festival was when he flew the Visit Johor mascots, Cuping and Juicy, further enlivening the atmosphere and strengthening the promotion of the Visit Johor Year 2026, especially among children and families.
The festival once again proved its role as a platform that brings together communities, local and international tourists, while strengthening Johor’s position as a global tourism destination.
